I first met Emily about a year ago. Since I first photographed her, she has become a dear friend. I was so pleased to learn that we are pregnant at the same time, with our due dates about a month apart. Emily is always thoughtful and sweet and I was so pleased when she invited me to her new home in East Grand Rapids to photograph her maternity session. She had literally just moved in, which left us with a beautiful, clean and minimalist space to photograph. The setting was perfect.
Emily’s mother in law was there to help with tiny Jane and I was so happy to capture some photographs of Jane and her grandma during our session. Such a bond these two girls have. Jane just loves her grandma.
It is hard to believe that little Jane is going to be a big sister so soon. For the next few days or weeks at most, I know this family will cherish this special time with Jane until their hearts will fill again with the arrival of baby sister.
