Among the tall skyscrapers and busy streets, Chicago still offers some secluded beaches.
I will admit, this was my first time photographing at this location and it was amazing. I arrived at Evanston Grosse Point Lighthouse a bit early. I read on the beach for a bit while a small group did yoga nearby, then I headed up to the Lighthouse. The lighthouse is magical. The vines, the historical overlook and the crashing waves make a perfect storybook setting. I even thought I was Snow White for a minute because a deer I spotted came so close I could almost reach out and touch her.
Matt and Sarah arrived around sunrise. The golden light and crashing waves provided the perfect backdrop to. The best part of this session was that this gorgeous couple decided this would be the perfect spot to get married. I would not agree more. We found a slice of magic in the mist of Chicago. It was a pleasure to photograph these two and I loved spending the morning with them.
