Though I am a Chicago photographer, I traveled up to Grand Haven, Michigan for this lovely but chilly session with Dustin and Jana. I love photographing engagements and weddings, but I think there is something truly spectacular about photographing married couples. Their story has continued past dating, past the wedding dress and into a deeper bond of love and understanding. Milestones are important to photograph, but the journey of the couple is not just marked by milestones, it is truly the day to day life which builds and sustains the bond between couples.
I have known Jana for many years and I remember when her heart first found Dustin’s seven years ago. She began calling him, “Prince Charming” and she still does because of he truly has a kind heart. These two have been married for three and a half years and just celebrated Jana’s 30th birthday on the beaches of Mexico. (much warmer than the beach photographed below)
