About twelve years ago, I worked with Tom at Applebee’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was always fun to chat with and I always thought of him as a little brother and a great friend. I hadn’t seen him since my Apple Buddy years but we stayed connected on Facebook. I watched from afar as his posted photographs of a lovely girl who loves fishing just as much as he does. When I met Kailee, during their engagement session, it felt as though I had known her for years.
I could have continued chatting with Kailee and Tom for hours, but my favorite story they shared with me is how they used to collect Petoskey stones on the beach while watching the sunset when they lived in Northern Michigan. I can’t get that image out of my head. It is a beautiful example of their beautiful relationship.
I am not only thankful that they choose me for their wedding, but also that they drove all the way from Detroit for our session together. I cannot wait to travel back to Michigan for their wedding next summer.
