A Summer Wedding at Morton Arboretum

Watching Josh and Alicia go from a couple dating, to an engaged pair and finally to husband and wife has been a joy. I am so happy that I was able to photograph this wedding on a beautiful summer day at the Morton Arboretum.

The memories that stand out will be forever stamped in their memories and through these photographs.

From Alicia: “We had the perfect weather! Couldn’t have for anything better. I loved doing the first look with Josh. After this moment, I was able to relax and calm down. He’s always been great at that for me. Then, it was incredible to see the cocktail hour and reception area – seeing my vision come to life after almost two years of planning was absolutely incredible. Another powerful moment for me was walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing all our family and friends together in one place to celebrate me and Josh. A highlight of the reception was my daddy/daughter dance – dancing to the lullaby that my dad would play for us as he put me and my sisters to bed as kids. Having my sisters join towards the end of the song was an unexpected surprise that meant a lot to me. Last and certainly not least, the DANCE FLOOR was definitely one of the best parts of the entire day! One of our top priorities was to have an amazing dance party and that’s what we got. Once the dance floor opened, it was packed the rest of the night! It was exactly the day we wanted.”

From Josh: “My favorite part of our wedding day was seeing all of our closest friends and family in one place to celebrate our relationship and commitment to each other for the rest of our lives. When I was standing at the top of the hill looking down at everyone in their seats as Alicia began walking with her father towards me made me realize how lucky I was and how special this day was going to be. Another moment I realized how fortunate we were was when Alicia and I took a moment at the head table and just looked around at everyone and tried to take the moment in as long as possible. As we reflected on the day with our friends and family, one common theme that emerged was how packed the dance floor was the entire time, from the first song to the last. Having our closest friends and family all with us and having a blast getting “low” on the dance floor made our wedding day extra special.”
