Life Lately: The March Edition

Things feel so busy as hints of spring begin to set in. I have lots of home projects on my mind as my baby belly is growing and the reality of being a mother of three is almost here. Sometimes I cannot believe I am and adult. I have a pretty house, a loving husband and two of the sweetest kids you’ll ever meet.  It seems like yesterday that I had a messy room, barely enough money to pay my share of the rent and worries about finishing my homework assignments. My roommate and university days are over a decade behind me, but sometimes the past feels like a dream, not reality because I do not even closely resemble that person inside or out. The evolution of humans throughout a lifetime-it’s real.

About a year ago, I signed up for these emails or Letters from the Universe. These hit my inbox in the early hours of the morning. For some reason. They just set my day on the right path. I want you to sign up. The website looks super cheesy, but those little notes that I get each morning are really great.

Recently, I also heard that Reece Witherspoon started a book club. Guess what? Most of the books I have already read are in that book club along with a few other awesome titles too. Here is what I have been reading lately. Warning: A few are elementary age novels because along with my fancy camera skills, I also teach 5th grade. Nevertheless, you should check out some of the titles.

  1. Paper Towns by John Green.
  2. Tricky Twenty-Two by Janet Evanovich
  3. Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
  4. In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware
  5. Tribes by Seth Godin
  6. Bridget Jones’s Diary by Helen Fielding
  7. All the Birds in the Sky by Charlie Jane Anders   (still not sure how I feel about this one)
