Being a Naperville wedding photographer, means I get the opportunity to photograph Naperville’s finest. This couple is no exception. Beyond being a perfect couple these two are both Naperville teachers. Karl and Mary are dedicated to guiding students. They met and found they had more in common than their love for teaching.
Karl and Mary are a cool genuinely couple. They are funny, easy to talk to and their love for each other is adorable. I photographed these two on a chilly winter morning not long after their holiday engagement. We walked around icy Higgins Lake and through the chilly woods to capture these beautiful images. One of the many lovely things about Karl and Mary is they love to laugh. It was easy to capture natural photographs of their affection. As I move my photography into a mix of film and digital images, I was pleased capture these beautiful engagement images on film. Catch their digital images here.
The snow, trees, the bridge and lake set the perfect scene for this engagement session. A blanket, smiles and a snow covered path were our only props. I was reminded me of the true beauty that can be found in winter. Though the winters in Chicago are cold, they are certainly beautiful. This engagement session was a true example of this.
I am beyond blessed that these two beautiful humans chose me to photograph their July wedding. From a winter wonderful engagement to a summer wedding! I cannot wait to share in their special day!
