This week we stayed in and Lila missed a few days of preschool because she had a bad cold. One thing to know if you are not yet a parent is that you never really sleep, and this is worse when your children are ill. Something about the darkness of the night amplifies illness and worry sets in. Just as your mind slips into dreamland, you shoot up and out of bed to check if there is a fever. Between sweet baby boy waking up to eat and a sick baby girl, I think we may be robots because no human can operate on this little sleep, unless you are of course a parent.
